CIRCLES Call for Volunteers
Please look over this list and see if you would like to help your community by serving in these positions and aiding our growth and outreach so that we may better serve all who come to our ceremonies and sacred grounds.
May 2011: WE HAVE SEVERAL JOBS THAT NEED TO BE FILLED
some are volunteer only and several are offering some compensation. We want to keep our funds in the community while we continue to grow our Circles of Empowerment!
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE - mow, trim and maintain church grounds, general labor, to include miscellaneous clean-up projects around the site, approx. 5 hours per week. COMPENSATION NEGOTIABLE
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - general office duties, approx. 5 hours per week depending upon experience. COMPENSATION NEGOTIABLE
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER - develop and maintain our social media sites. FUTURE COMPENSATION
DATABASE DEVELOPMENT AND/OR MAINTENANCE - develop user-friendly database (currently using Access) for contacts and registration information, we are looking to interface with and development of online registration capabilities. COMPENSATION NEGOTIABLE
VOLUNTEER ORGANIZER - help build our volunteer base and coordinate the volunteer effort. FUTURE COMPENSATION
VOLUNTEER BASE - sign up for our email list of volunteers that can be called upon for various needs as they arise. We will issue a "CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS" to this list describing our current needs (i.e. labeling and stamping a mailing, assisting an elder, supporting a yard sale, general labor, etc) with who to contact in the event you are available to help.

Long Term Coordinators
Scholarship coordinator - this person (or people!) would work with Grandmother Bridgeweaver and Magic Hands to help track the scholarship recipients and make it easy for them to fulfill their in-kind service offers.
Volunteer phone coordinator - we need to create a phone tree and be able to spread the word quickly in case of emergency info, or to aid a sister or brother, or for those who are not regular email users.
Mentoring Program coordinator - we need one or two people to help connect those who would like to be mentored and those who would like to mentor. More rewarding work would be hard to imagine.
PR liaison and outreach coordinator - we need someone to help promote special events, field press requests, arrange internet radio interviews for Hua and other presenters and help with social media needs.
Long Dance Big Sister/New Sister coordinator - we would like to facilitate adjustment into Long Dance for first timers by assigning them a sister of whom they can ask any question and feel safely cared for during this sometimes intense experience. We need someone to work with Grandmother Bridgeweaver to make this happen.
