CIRCLES Leadership

Leadership and opportunities to become a part of leadership

Action Circle

The Action Circle was formed in April 2010 and is open to anyone interested in helping to guide the Circles of Empowerment into the future.  We are celebrating our twentieth anniversary of Long Dance this year and part of that celebration includes looking at the next twenty years and what we hope to achieve.

Please see the Action Circle page for more details about our efforts.

Elders Circle

The Elders Circle is in formation at this time, so now is a great time to jump in and shape this special advisory committee whom we in the Action Circle are longing to hear from.  Please contact Grandmother Bridgeweaver with your questions, comments and suggestions.  (805) 773 1196

Mentoring Program

The Mentoring Program is also taking shape at this time.  We are requesting a volunteer to work with Grandmother Bridgeweaver as a program coordinator.  We envision that many skills that are available amongst our community can be taught and passed forward to the next generations for caretaking under the auspices of this program.

Skills that are available in this community include all kinds of medicine making such as bead work, painting, working with leather, carving, drum making, rattle making, basket weaving, willow Lodge building, herbal medicine, plant gathering and many many more, and many sacred tasks such as Firekeeper, Water Pourer, Pipe Carrier, Soul Retrieval Drummer, among others.

Please see the Volunteer page to see if this or any other task appeals to you so that we may more wonderfully share the ample bounty already at our finger tips in our community.
